Reverend Doctor Pamela Marolla aka Pastor Pam has been at First Lutheran since November, 2012. She is married to Vince, who is also a pastor in the ELCA, now serving Beacon of Hope Hospice and interim pastor at Bethany Lutheran in Woodhull. They have two grown children. Christina has recently moved to Galesburg to serve as a paramedic with the Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Service. David is a mechanical engineer in southeast WI.
Starting as a church musician for her home congregation at the age of 15, Pastor Pam went on to St. Olaf College to get a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music. Serving churches as a musician led to a sense of call to ordained ministry. She has a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology and Ministry, a Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry Degree.
Aside from God, the church and her family, Pastor Pam is passionate about social justice, making music (community band, chorus, pit orchestras, orchestras, and chamber groups) and coming home to her pets. She also enjoys reading, gardening, kayaking, and canoeing.
She says, "First Lutheran’s Mission Statement is 'We are called to serve and share the good news.' It is a privilege to be able to share this mission with the members and friends of this congregation!"
